Can a convicted felon ,even after doing time still obtain a U.S.PASSPORT?????????

BEEN OFF PAPERS OVER THREE YEARS ABLE TO GO SEE THE WORLD WILL I BE ALLOWED TO OR WILL I BE WASTING MY MONEY TRYING TO GET A PASSPORT AM I GROUNDED TO THE STATES????????

  1. Whether or not you receive a passport is up to the discretion of the US Passport Agency depending on what you were convicted of, and your background. I would go ahead and apply for the passport, that's probably the best way to find out whether you'll get one or not, it's not that much money. Some countries will ask whether you have ever been convicted of a crime, and might deny you entry because of a previous conviction, but most countries do not. Get out and see the world and the best of luck to you.

  3. Now that you're off paper the only restriction remaining (which will stay with you for the rest of your life) is that you can't have a concealed firearm.

    Yes, you can get a passport and use it.
