  1. No.  A convicted felon loses some rights and that's one of them.

  2. No they can't.

  3. Some States allow them to, others do not.

It is up to the States as to whether they restore a convicted felon's civil rights, including the right to vote, or not.

  4. It is a state's rights issue ... so it varies ...

This is a site that explains what each state says about felons voting ...

This is a great article that goes into detail about this very intriguing question  ...

Thanks for asking ... it helped me understand and hopefully others as well!

  5. Why would anyone WANT to vote, is the question. In the states eye's we are all felon's either current or sometime in the future, they will make a law that will turn you into a felon, just give it time. Haven't the selections of 2000 and 2004 proven that we don't choose our ruler's? So, why play their game?

  6. Depends on the state. Voting is a state matter.

In some states, felons are barred for life from voting. In others, they are barred from voting until a length of time equal to their original sentence has expired.

  7. Generally speaking, no.  However, any convicted felon can get a lawyer and file a suit to have their voting rights re-instated.

  8. I do not believe so

But the DNC is trying to make it so they can.
