it will only make it more humid ..if it's muggy you need a dehumidifier and not the other way around

I WOULD TRY RUNNING FANS IN THE HOUSE TO COOL IT OFF IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A/C RIGHT NOW I JUST HAVE SOME WINDOWS OPEN AND A FAN ON IT COOL AT NIGHT HERE.

Hi,

humidifiers only work well in hot DRY low humidity situation.

The last thing you want to do is to add more water/humidity to the room thus exaspirating the situation.

Go for open windows and a fan as a low cost option, or purchase a small portable refridgerated air-conditioner to fit in the window.

You can purchase a second hand unit quite cheaply from e bay or your local rag.
