I was pulled over by a cop who said my music was loud..which was B.S he just thought i had something in the car...so a few minutes later he put me in cuffs and drove me to a set of entirely different police officers.....the set of entirely different police officers drove me back to my car, wrote me a ticket for a sound amplification device (which i've never had a day in my life) towed the car, and took me to jail...The cop who pulled me over was no where to be found, he's not even the one who gave me tickets or took me to jail...how can they give me tickets if they weren't even the ones who "supposedly heard loud music) on top of all of that no one even read me my miranda rights.....now its probably 1000 something dollars to get my car out....

  1. Yes, an different officer than the one who pulled you over can write you a ticket. More than likely, the original officer will be listed as a witness.

As for miranda rights, its not like on tv where everyone who is arrested has them read. They only have to read you them if they are questioning you in reference to the charges being placed on you.

  2. There's more to it than you're telling. They don't cuff you, take you to jail and confiscate your car for loud amplification.

  3. My bet is that you were arrested for something entirely different. Unpaid tickets? The crime you described is most likely an infraction and is not a reason to be arrested. As to the rest of your question, yep. The officer that puled you over will be listed as a witness or in some cases the arresting officer.
