  1. If she is his EX-WIFE, then there must be a reason that they are no longer together.  Are you the reason?   Why would he care who she is with if she is no longer with him?

How do you define "defend myself"?  By assaulting him?

By sitting on him?  Even though you state you are that large, if you attempt to physically assault an officer, you may find out how large his duty or off-duty weapon is.

  2. not sure what your height & weight have to do with anything...but you fail to mention what you feel the officer is doing to harrass you.  That might make a difference

If you really feel you are being harrassed go to the station the officer works out of and file a complaint...

I would advise you -no matter what - to refrain from physical violence, you will lose no matter how big you are

  3. NO, report him to the cops, but gather proof first. Hook a recorder up to your phone, adn carry a video camera with you all the time.

And yes you can defend yourself against an off duty police officer, who has been harassing you.

If he does something while in uniform just take it, adn then complain to the PD.

  4. No Paul, you can't "defend yourself". Now go take your meds.

EDIT: For those of you who are actually taking the time to reply, this poster is the imfammous Paul K., he's a troll. He routinely posts questions such as "If an off-duty police officer bumps me at a party can I defend myself?" along with listing his height & weight.

  5. Questions like yours are very vague and leave out a lot of detail.

For one thing, it's unlawful, if not illegal to harass anybody, whether it's a cop or otherwise.

Why do you mention your weight/height?

Were you sleeping with the ex before the divorce?

Are they living apart or actually and finally divorced?

Again, much of your question is irrelevant - there is no such thing as legal harrassment.  Nor have you described what defense you would need.

  6. No.  If they are divorced, he has NO reason or right to harrass you. "Defending" yourself is a QUICK way to get beaten, arrested, or dead.

You'd be best served to contact IN WRITING his Police Chief... stating the times and circumstances of his harassment.  IF he did so in uniform or on duty, he'd be in violation of the law.  You might want to contact a lawyer.

  7. No he can't harass.  Just because he is a cop doesn't give him the right to do.  I would report it to his police department.
