It depends on the dept.i highly doubt the depts would approve. in my opinion its the wrong thing to do its unsafe and can create a lot of problems. It can put the cop and the date in danger. Also what if somthing happens to car. Not only is the car ****** up but the officer as well. What was officer so and so doing with a car off duty lol

Yeah and if he gets caught using a government vehicle for personal use, he could also face jail time because I'm sure that's not the only charge he'd be recieving.
