Can a cracked TV, LCD sreen be replaced?

tv switches on and works through a computer but only in black and white. Prepaired to repair it if can be done.TV is a 37in Logik wide screen.built in Belgium.

  1. I doubt that you could repair it but it is a job that can be done, not cheaply.

    If it's a Logik tv then it will probably cost more than the set is worth.


  2. If the TV screen cracks, the entire screen needs to be replaced. This usually costs as much as a new TV.  Are you not insured for accidental damage on your home insurance, if you are claim for a new TV.

  3. It can, but it's probably cheaper to buy a new one.

    Mr Who Flung, turns out TVs in China and Logik import them by the shipload.  Shipping works out about 20p a TV.  His supplier Mr Flung Who, turns out LCD screens by the million.  If a parts supplier wants a few dozen of them, he'd have to pay a premium price and shipping would work out about £50 a screen.  For everyone to make a living, the parts supplier is going to have to charge you a few hundred pounds.
