Can a credit card company take funds from your bank account in Texas to satisfy debt?

I am a resident of Houston, Texas and I bank with the same bank that issued me a credit card for which I am unable to keep up with payments. I only have a small savings account and I am concerned that the credit card company will take it from my savings account.

no -- they can get a court order and put a lien against the account!!!

Check your agreement with the bank. They may have slipped in clause that allows them to do that. But legally, I don't think they can do that without your permission.

If you're worried, why not withdraw your savings and place them in another bank?
