Can a cricket bat's anti-scuff sheet be taken off if you buy it with it already on?

I've just bought a woodworm hard drive bronze and it already comes with a anti-scuff sheet and i don't want the sheet

  1. I would say if it is easily removable then it's not meant to be there when you use the bat but if it is glued like the stickers then it's a different story. My best guess it that a anti-scuff sheet can be and should be taken out.


  2. yes, you can peel it off and then sand it and if you want you can get it redone or you can keep it offa and oil your bat and sand it.

    I had mine taken offa but then i put it back on soon after.

  3. Yes, however, depending on the quality of the bat/wood, and how long the cover has been on, the wood underneath may at first be a slightly different colour.

    Best advice is to use a little bit of oil on the uncovered wood, as the surface is likely to be a little dry.
