Can a crocodile outrun a horse over 30m???

Question

i saw somwhere that a crocodile can outrun a horse over 30m. i cant remember where though...but my girlfriend is having none of it. can anyone answer this for us??? with links to fact please.

No they can not hores are a lot faster.

it depends on the horse and the crocodile. Most quarter horses will outrun a crocodile, but there are some crocodiles like the black crocodile that will outrun even a quarter horse.

I don't think so. I am sure that a croc could surpise a horse near the waters edge, but if the horse bolts the croc has no chance.

I actually own a horse AND a crocodile so I decided to put them to the test in question. However, my results were inconclusive as my croc kept on getting underneath the stalls before the gates opened therefor getting an unfair advantage every time

I crocodile can not out run a horse period.  They have the ability to snap and surge froward to make a kill.  But when it comes to more then just a couple of feet most people could walk and keep away from them.
