Can a curtain track be screwed into UPVC window frames?

This is in a bay window that has a lowered ceiling in the bay. The only other option would be to fix the track to the ceiling but the house is old and I don't think I'd get a good fix. Not sure what to do for the best.

  1. Use self-tapping screws for s******g into the upvc. Drill the pilot hole a couple of mm smaller.

  2. Well, I don't see why not, we have 11 blinds up in our conservatory, no problem, I would say, phone a reputable double glazing Co, and ask them, they will probably say, if the windows are under guarrantee, don't do it.

  3. If curtains are your only option then yes But I would consider some kind of privacy window film that still lets light in.

  4. Just as stingray says..

  5. You could try using 'no nails' it's a glue for this kind of purpose
