  1. Yes. If the debt was from over four years ago, they can still do it. You will be the person on the other end of the line calling me at the bank when you want to find out why your account is overdrawn and/or frozen when you least expect it. Banks charge fees as well for processing a garnishment, like $100 per each garnishment filed and do not reimburse for od fees. Or as you stated they may garnish your wages and again your employers bank will probably charge you fees for that.

  2. I would suspect that the answer depends on what type of corporation you established and whether you are in a state with a relatively short Statute of Limitations.

You really need to ask an attorney this question.

  3. yes of course. you owe this till the day you die.. you caused it so pay i

Edit: Yes i understand your question. You basicly want to know if your legally able to get out of this debt. Debt in the US causes a problem, rasing store costs, GAS prices. People don't pay their debt so they don't pay and causes business/services to increase prices. Ever heard of the Great Depression? One of the reason that happened was due to people not paying their bills. If you don't pay it, who will? Certainly not anyone who didn't cause the debt.

Sorry you don't trust Dr. Phil. Maybe you should talk to a lawyer and File Chapter 7 or 13.

    Good luck

  4. no no no, this is a scam to scare you. there is no debtors prison. a debt collector is just a voice on the phone trying to make a buck, he has no athority to garnish your wages. tell him to come over and clean your house and you may give him a couple bucks but thats all.
