My daughter has had two caps put on her teeth in the last 3 yrs, and just awhile ago, one of her caps with the tooth fell ou, and the root tips are still in her mouth. She's 8 yrs old, so I'm not sure if it'll grow back, but the point is that she goes to a dentist every 6 months, and there's no reason why this should'nt and could'nt have been prevented by the dentist, since they take x-rays every time. I also pay for the x-rays every time. I think the dentist should foot the bill for an implant.

  1. Talk to a lawyer about that

  2. I would talk to a malpractice lawyer. Find a new dentist.

  3. Was it a baby tooth that fell out?  Your daughter is only 8 years old...she still has lots of baby teeth.  The "root tips" that you see might be the top of the adult tooth coming in.  You could call your dentist and ask.  Caps are put on baby teeth with cavities quite commonly....
