Is there a name for this type of behaviour/mental illness?

---I know this is a bit sick(sorry!) but is there also another name for this type of behaviour/mental illness? :

A woman killed her husband and slept with the corpse for three days and nights with no concrete reason.

Yes. Its called self harm. Lots of depressed people self harm, although not in such drastic ways.

About the woman with the dead husband... I doubt there would be a specific name for that. It was just a woman who was sick, possibly delusional.

When it comes down to it, a name doesnt really matter, its just a label

I hope you are not thinking of doing this or know someone who is.  Earlier this year someone I knew did this to herself (with the help of petrol) and the family (including two young children) is still trying to pick up the pieces.  My heart breaks for her, for the pain she must have been in when she did that, but also for her family trying to come to terms with it.  And also for the two boys how happened to find her.

As for what was wrong with her, it seems she was depressed but like Indigo said its a label, we won't ever know what was really going on.

Sorry very morbid but the answer is yes they can but it is so extreme and would no doubt leave a trail of devastation behind.
