  1. Might be as effective as a lawn sprinkler, but it's worth a try.

  2. I've never used my dishwasher to do clothes (although I may try bras after reading the comments here!) but I DO use the dishwasher to "dust" things.  You can put almost any kind of knick-knack (not hand painted stuff or anything that's gilded or has anykind of metal leaf - but I don't have anything like that) as well as glass, crystal, metal, plastic in the dishwasher and run it while dusting the furniture.  I use about 1 cup of vinegar and no other soap/additives and things come out fine.

  3. The dishwasher is good for baseball hats too.  They don't get all smashed or break the bill.  But definitely only on the top rack.  I may try the bra thing too.

  4. I don't think it'll work well. A clothes washer moves the clothes around, and a dishwasher just sprays.

  5. Contrary to popular belief, it does work.

Not with laundry detergent though, and CERTAINLY not liquid dish soap.

Hand soap works with it, and liquid dish-washer soap does.

I wash my bras like this, because the pads in my bras always get destroyed, and i do also wash other things I prefer to be careful with.

When i wash my bras, i use hand soap, but thats just me.

    Try it out!

  6. I don't think so. Regular detergent would give you soap suds everywhere. And your dishwasher has that thing that comes up in the middle that is kind of like a water sprinkler. It might tear up the dishwasher and the clothing too.

  7. Only for clothes that need minimum agitation.  Also, you would not get a spin dry in your dishwasher.
