I haven't had my period in over 2 months...but then again I am irregular. I have had a few symptoms here and there such as fatigue, nausea, and frequent urinating and for some reason i believe some Acid reflux. Although I'm not sure if that has anything to do with pregnancy if at all i possibly am...Anyway the reason for that question is because I went to my OB for an annual check up and when she checked my uterus she said I dont "think" your pregnant... Im thinking whaaaaaat? you think? But stupidly i said No to both urine and blood. I guess I just cant handle another Negative answer, Literally. Help Someone?

  1. yes they can tell. I'm going in for my prenatal visit soon and my doctors are a little different. They confirm pregnancies with a pap.

  2. It's possible, yes.  In some patients the uterus might still be pretty low down, still in the pelvis, in others it might be just starting to grow up and out of the pelvis and could possibly be felt.  But if you're not specifically looking for it it could be overlooked.

By about week 12-13 it's much easier.

  3. When I was 8 weeks pregnant, my doctor was just doing my regular pelvic exam because when I had scheduled my yearly check-up a few months before, I wasn't pregnant yet.  I forgot to call her to make it a prenatal exam so she wasn't ready to order my blood tests or do an ultrasound that day.  When she palpated to check my uterus she did say that it did definitely feel like I was pregnant.  I went back at 11 weeks pregnant for the prenatal visit and had an ultrasound which did confirm it and I got to see my baby and my baby's heart beating.  He's now 4 months old.  Take some home pregnancy tests.  If you're about 8 weeks pregnant, the tests should all be positive.  Good luck!
