  1. No, I don't think he's retarded.  Some dogs have disabilities, but are NEVER retarded.  Most male dogs are "loners".  They do their own thing.  But to be on the safe side, I would take him to the Vet.

  2. Why would him playing and then coming in and laying on his bed make his "retarted" (I think you meant retarded)?  I don't understand.  If he has been outside playing with his friends and is exhausted, he will just lay around resting until the next playtime.  Our 2 dogs do the same thing.  They go outside and play and then come in and nap for awhile.  You have provided him with a bed that he feels safe in and that is his area, so that is why he lays there.  He is doing what dogs do naturally, it does not make him retarded.

  3. Dogs can be mentally challenged, but your dog just seems like he isn't very social and shy.

  4. I'm not sure I understand the problem.

The puppy goes outside and plays, then very well-manneredly puts himself away for a nap.  Kind of sounds like a dream puppy.. :))

  5. They can be, I have a friend whom has a mentally challenged ("retarded") dog.

I doubt your dog is though, if you are worried about it then have

you dog seen by your vet.

Puppies are very energetic and what you describe is just him being tired after exerting a lot of energy.

  6. he's tired.... relax

  7. it could happen.

    birth defects.

or it could just be his personality.

my dog sleeps all day and once were done doing whatever she sleeps because shes bored and has nothing to stay up for.

is he sleeping on his bed or just sitting there?

  8. yes, so can any other animal.

  9. ur dog has a room? one lucky puppy!!

  10. Maybe he is just really tired after playing.

  11. Forget "people."  Your husky is larger dog and has more growing pains than a tiny puppy.   He is fine.  When he cannot find his bowl to eat, then get worried!

  12. He is a growing puppy, who wears himself out and is exhausted..

  13. He does not seem to be mentally challenged, but yes ,dogs can suffer brain damage and developmental issues, just like people.Even if he is, if he is happy and a sweet boy, who cares?

  14. Yes, they can.

Take it to the vet, they might be able to tell you.
