My puppy(pomeranian 14 weeks) has either got a rash, or lots of ant bites. I'm leaning towards ants, because when i go out to walk him, i get eat up with ants, and he lays down, and i try to get him to stand up, but then he scratches alot while he's out there, so i'm thinking that might be it. They are little red bumps only on his stomach, that i could see. Is there a medication, that i can get a a pet store that i can get, like some sort of cream or something.

Thanks

  1. You should take the dog to the vet, and you shouldn't give it any medicine unless told to do so by your vet.

Sounds like you've got it= its probably from the ants, or maybe it is an allergy. There are LOTS of different reasons a dog could get a rash, and the only way you can find out what caused it is by going to the vet.

  2. take your dog to the vet hes probally have an allergy rash from the ants a vet can give them a allergy shot but i wouldt try meds your self for these are to strong for a dog and has to many drugs that can harm them..try bathing her use a med shampoo for dogs

  3. Yes dogs can get a rash. Its best to take your dog to the vet to make sure it is a rash and nothing else. Our Springer Spaniel use to get red under his hind legs. We took him to the vet and it was determined it was a rash. The vet told us to put zinc oxide on it as long as the dog didn't l**k it off which he never did. It worked like a charm.
