I have 2 dogs, my male dog is only 8 1/2 months old and female is 22 months old, My husband says the 2 dogs dont have to get stuck together in order for her to get pregnant, is his true? I dont seem to think so but I could be wrong.

OH YEAH AND FOR YOU WHO SEEM TO LIKE TO COMMENT THAT THERE ARE ENOUGH DOGS TO ADOPT,,,,,YADDA YADDA YADDA, I DONT CARE. We are animal lovers and plan to keep every puppy she has and if she has too many then they are going to family members, SO KEEP THAT c**p TO YOURSELVES.

I am just asking about the dogs gettting stuck together in order for her to get pregnant, if you dont have an answer for that then dont comment. THANKYOU

  1. No, they don't have to get stuck together to get the female pregnant. As long as there's penetration and ejaculation, there's a chance that she could get pregnant.

It may be that he's too young to be "potent" though.

    Edit:

I too dislike all these people constantly shouting things about spaying and neutering your pets. While it may be true that there are many unloved pets in shelters, it's also a fact of life that dogs breed. If someone wants to breed their pets, it's none of your business. The best thing to do is to offer advice and to educate them on how best to care for the pets, and not to offer your opinions about their lifestyle.

She asked a simple question about the possibility of her dog being pregnant. She did not ask your opinion about whether or not to spay her dog.

If /everyone/ spays and neuters their dog, and if all the dogs are unable to breed, then what are the chances of having dogs in the future? Spaying and neutering should be a choice the owner gets to make.

  2. No,they don't.And I am going to tell you that there ARE too many puppies and dogs dying in shelters every day,and for every puppy that is born, another puppy dies.So you might just want to go and look at all the puppies and dogs on "death row" at your local shelter before you let those dogs breed, and then hurry and make an appointment to have them both fixed! This is what a RESPONSIBLE dog owner and "animal lover" will do!!

  3. Your dogs are TOO YOUNG to be mating!

Just because you're an "animal lover" doesn't mean you know what you're doing!

    pft, animal lover my a$$

  4. Your dogs are too young to be bred yet.

A real animal lover spays and neuters and adopts instead!  Absolutly no reason to allow your dogs to procreate when there are already plenty in shelters right now that need homes!

  5. Umm First if you are a "animal lover" and you want to breed your dogs then i would sugest that you talk to your vet about breeding your dogs. Umm and second everyone says they are going to keep all the puppies or give them to family, but reality is, its a lie! But hey w/e floats your boat! SPAY AND NEUTER your pets! that is if you really love them!
