  1. There is no scientific reason why not. It is your Dog.  It is your choice.

I would not recommend this as a permanent diet for a dog.

  2. Macaroni is made of wheat and wheat generally is not good for dogs.  However, if you have a sick dog that is having trouble eating and keeping food down and he likes macaroni, give it to him.

A better choice for starch for dogs is rice or oatmeal.

We cook for our dogs.  We have a vet approved recipe that is basically, 1/3 lean meat, 1/3 starch (rice or oatmeal), 1/3 veggies.  (no onions, garlic or very many veggies in the gassy family of cabbage)

  3. No.  Giving dogs human food will 1) give them diarrhea and 2) they won't want to eat their own dog food anymore

  4. They can, but why? It would not be especially good for them and there are so many other things to feed them that are better.

  5. Yes,  plain pasta or rice is fine and actually helps stop diarrhea. Obviously its not for daily feeding as Its not full of nutrients, but you should take a good look at whats in your commercial dry food anyway, it isnt much better in most cases. Most things that are healthy for you, should be okay for your dog.(some exceptions)

  6. actually macaroni & cheese was the food that got a seriously ill dog of mine "going" again. Not the best food nutritionally but as an occasional treat or to jumpstart a failing appetite - fine.....

  7. No, I wouldn't give a dog any people food.
