In general the term mules is used to apply to the offspring of a horse and donkey, but to be more specific:

Mare (female horse) + Jack (male donkey) = MULE

Stallion (male horse) + Jenny (female donkey) = HINNEY

In both cases the offspring are infertile, providing a classic example of why horses and donkeys are different species.

yes yes the can. thats what a mule is a mix inbetween. Also a zebra and a horse can breed and have offsprig in witch are called zorses.! hope i helped!
