Can a dvd recorder record on a 700mb CD?

700mb CDs are usually used for music but can you record video on it with a dvd recorder?

Hi Donald,

If your recorder is in your computer then it is most likely a combination DVD / CD recorder and the answer is yes.

If you have a stand alone DVD recorder then the answer is no.

yes but mostly if they are computer DVD recorders with that capacity. VCD format...but remember this will lower the quality of your video since it will have to compress and eliminate certain digital data.

Usually only computer DVD recorders can do this and the format is called VCD for Video CD.  The recording time and the quality is very limited.
