You know all those ads you see on TV with the big juicy burgers and similiar commercials? And of course, when you go buy them, they don't look anywhere near as big and meaty as in those ads. Can someone actually sue those restaurants for misleading the consumer? Or can businesses advertise as they see fit?

  1. Anyone can be sued, but there has to be a cause or loss involved or one might end up on the short end of the money.  That is another factor, having the money to fund such a lawsuit.  I do agree though with your comments.

  2. This is universal, and is pretty sad.  I have many times looked at the photos and made my choice. When I got the food, it looked like they played catch with the burger.

There is truth in advertising, but it would be a lot of work to sue all of the businesses that do that.

The best thing you can do is support your smaller independent restaurants who actually care about what they are serving. It is usually the big chains that have these misleading ads..

    take care,

    Good point tho
