  1. uh ya if the ball gets there before the runner that makes sense that he would be out doesn't it?

    you can do what ever it takes to stop er play the ball. :]

  3. There is nothing in the rules prohibiting it, and Paul O'Neill (when he was with the Reds) once did so. He was running in on a ball to short RF and simply could not get a handle on it, swung his left foot in frustration and kicked the ball perfectly back to the infield.

  4. You CAN, but I wouldn't recommend it...it isn't likely to work with any consistency.  ;-)

  5. I'd say yes, its no differance then a ball hit off a pitcher or any other players foot to a position player!

  6. Of course it's perfectly legal. Why would anyone think it is against the rules?
