Question:

Can a foreign woman get french residency / carte de sejour if she has a child in France/ a french territory?

If the woman and the child's father are both foreigners, will they both get a french carte de sejour if they give birth to a child in france? What process(es) are required?

Please provide specific references (links, contact info etc). thanks

  1. no, unless you already have a resident card or # carte de séjour #  in France,

    if you do NOT? no, impossible;

    if you entered France illegally? no way on earth would you get a residency card for you, the father, nor the child,

    trust me.... many foreigners try this? it does not work. because a child is born in France, it does NOT give nor the child or the parents any rights,

    if you are in France legally? you should already have a carte de séjour, if not? you are illegally there, it is simple.............

    France does NOT recognize children that are born in France unless one parent is french as well;
