  1. If a foreign worker in the UAE is diagnosed with a deportable disease, yes he/she will be deported or be asked to leave the country, no matter for how long he/she was working in the UAE.

    The UAE has added blood-borne disease hepatitis C to the list of deportable diseases, which includes HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis B, effective July 1st 2008.

    Otherwise an illness is no reason to terminate a work contract unless it is obvious that the worker will not be able to perform his/her service no more. In this case a solution has to be found. The worker mostly will receive his end of service benefits and returns back home.

  3. I don't believe they would.... UNLESS, the company you work for has a clause that says they will. I had a friend that worked in Turkey. He got ill in about 3 years and he worked for a US gov. contractor. In his contract with the company it had that clause. So he was sent home....
