  1. Personally I think even though Bill can not be VP, I believe Hillary will go to him before she goes to her VP regarding any political matters. GO MCCAIN!!!

  2. yes

  3. Let's think about it, logically. If Senator Clinton were to become president and chose her husband, President Clinton, as her Vice-president, he would need to fulfill all the obligations of the office. One such obligation is to rise to the office of the presidency, should the sitting president's term become forfeit (by resignation, assassination, or impeachment). If President Clinton, or another two-term president, were a V.P., he would be in direct violation of the twenty-second amendment and, thus, his appointment would be void.

Moreover, it would not make political sense for Sen. Clinton to choose President Clinton as her running-mate; they are chosen based on balancing out the ticket (targeting two separate audiences, so as to gain the most votes). A ticket containing J.F.K. and Lyndon Johnson, perhaps?

  4. Only if the individual could legally become president.  Bill could NOT be Hillary's vice-president because he has already served 2 terms as president, and is therefore disqualified from being president again.

  5. There is no prohibition for a former president to be a vice president in the constitution.

  6. No sorry, he was impeached and disbarred.  He can't hold any government office.

  7. Although the 12th amendment prohibits anyone who is not eligible to hold the office of President to be elected Vice President, the 22nd amendment doesnt specifically prohibit him from assuming that role.

The 22nd amendment states: "..."No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice,"  The key word there is 'elected'.  If Bill were to end up serving that position thru succession, then he would not have been 'elected' more than twice, and therefore, if the constitutional wording of the 22nd amendment were to be taken literally, he would not be in violation of the 12th amendment by being Hillary's Vice President.

  8. "can a former president be a vice president?" - Yes. As long as they are still eligible to be elected president.

"can bill clinton be hillarys vice president if she wins?" - No. Bill Clinton has served two full terms as president so he is not eligible. The constitution requires that to be elected VP, the person has to meet all of the qualifications as president.

  9. no

  10. No. He has served two terms as President and is restricted to those two terms under Amendment XXII of the Constitution. That makes him constitutionally ineligible to be President. Amendment XII of the Constitution states that any person constitutionally ineligible to be President cannot serve as Vice President.
