Can a fourteen year old make money?

I really want to be a foreign exchange student next year, but i am going to have to pay for a lot of the payment because my family cant. I am only fourteen and you have to be fifteen to get a job. I don't want my parents to have to drive me because that would defeat the purpose of getting a profit. I know that i am of age to work at a farm, (does it include horse barns?) and i am with in walking distance of the village. Is it legal to wipe down tables for 50 cents a table? I really need ideas! This means A LOT to me.

Well ask around for people that need a job done. Like you could rake lawns for 20 dollars a lawn. But if you want to wipe tables then ask the manager and yes it should be legal. For the horse barn then see if in the morning they will pay you to feed the horses and clean up. If all of those are out of the question then do odd jobs around the house for your parents like clean the gutters or rake yards. But try to explain to your parents that this is a very important to you and your future. It would help in so many ways and this is most likely a once in a life time chance and they'll help take out a loan if they have to but, it really does stink being old enough for jobs and things. i hope get to go on your trip and it truly is a blast. So I HOPE U MAKE IT.

By the way where are you going for the foreign exchange student thing?

BABYSIT get a paper route cut grass there are jobs out there and talk to your parents maybe they can help you find that job they should be thrilled that they wont have to help pay for it

work in a sweat shop making around 5 cents an hour its worth it trust me and the conditions are great!
