  2. Nope. They're closely related, but to be able to procreate and produce viable offspring (meaning the offspring can procreate as well), two organisms must be the same species. (This is why a horse and a donkey aren't - they can procreate, but the product, a mule, is sterile.) Think of toads and frogs as cousins; they're similar, but they aren't the same.
