  1. Yes the game warden may enter any property that he thinks or sees any outdoor recreational activity on. In Texas they are also responsible for boating, boat licensing and other recreational water safety.

  2. He is only required Mere Suspicion not Probable cause to enter onto private property. In the official performance of his duty a "No Tresspassing" signs is negated.

  3. Check this out with an attorney.  If you have a No Trespassing sign posted then they need permission or a warrant to enter your property.  Our rights to due process of law are protected by the constitution; along with our right to bear arms, free speech, religion, etc.  If a law enforcement person trespasses on your property then anything from that point in time is inadmissable in a court of law as it was acquired not in line with due process.

  4. Yes, Game wardens can go anywhere state police can go and more.

  5. He has more authority then any other member of law enforcement- he can go in you house or truck or land and search it without any search warrant- this includes your deep freeze, refrigerator, etc.- He can go anywhere on your property with or without you with him- he is like the police except he has unlimited authority. He also has the right to lie to you to get an admission of guilt out of you, but if you are caught lying to him, it is a crime.

  6. Yes he can. Game wardens have more authority than the Police do in the sense that they do not need a probable cause or a warrant to go and search your property. You being there is their probable cause.

  7. Yep, he can go about anywhere he feels the need to go.  if he feels the need to enter your property, he can do so and it is to your benefit to welcome him.  p**s him off and things can get  sticky pretty quickly.  After all, he is just doing his job.  I have had dealings with a lot of game wardens and have never had one give me a hard time.  Of course, I make sure that I stay in compliance with all applicable laws and treat him in a respectful and friendly manner.  I've always had a good relationship with Game Wardens.  I hope you do the same.

  8. Absolutely.  He's just doing his job.

I usually have coffee ready for him, "Come on in Henry, coffee's ready!"

"How the h**l did you know I was coming?"

"You said you'd be checking up on me one day.  I took your word for it.  Every morning now I've been opening the door n yelling 'coffee's ready!'  Today you wuz here."
