At my grandparents old house (in that they dont live there now, the house itself was only about 30 years old) we'd be in the loungeroom and the kitchen taps would turn on full blast - both of them - and then when we went in there as soon as we got to the door they would turn off. This freaked my grandma out, coz it usually happened when it was just her in the house, but sometimes when we were all there. It had never happened when someone was in the kitchen tho, but then one day me, mum and grandma were all in the kitchen and all of a sudden both the taps turned on full blast. We freaked out, and grandma said 'what do you want, why do you keep doing that' (coz she says you have to asks ghosts that incase they need help or something) and the taps turned off. It never happened again when we were there, but from then on it would only happen when grandma was alone in the kitchen. Why would the ghost have done that? was it a ghost? has this happened to any1 else? I still hate taps lol

  1. I have had a ghost throw sanding disks at me from inside the pack they were in,  had books thrown at me,  and a box of cornflakes too.  So why not a water tap turned on.

  2. YEP !

  3. yeah they can

  4. Well, I don't know, but that's creepy.

  5. that can be explained it depends on whether the k***s have a stopper because if they don't water pressure can build up enough to turn it on itself

  6. scarymuch?

  7. there is no such thing as ghosts honestly. but there is such thing as spirits. yea , i think it was a spirit . they usually do stuff in wierd patterns and times like that

  8. Sure it could be a ghost.  I once had a friend and his house was with a ghost or two in it.  The kids would shot marbles under the bed and the marbles would stay under the bed until you got up and walked  away. Then they would come shooting back out at you.  And then there was also a light that kept going on up in the attic.  Also a remote car would just start running around the house in the middle of the night, even after the batteries were taken out.  So as the old saying goes:  I do believe in ghost, I do believe in ghost!

  9. Holy..fukc.

  10. Well, here's a scientific look at it, at the risk of offending those few that seem to have a problem with science. If a ghost can turn on a tap, then it can exert force. If it can exert force, then Newton's 3rd law tells us that the ghost will be acted on by an equal and opposite force. If the ghost has no mass, the the force will act to accelerate the ghost at an infinite rate away from the tap. If the ghost has at least a little mass, then the force will still cause the ghost to instantly rebound back from tap at some velocity, unless the ghost can also exert some kind of lateral force to keep it in place. Of course, having mass, that means the ghost must have some kind of ability to defy gravity as well, and would necessarily have to have some awareness of up and down, left and right, where the floor is located, etc.

So can a ghost turn on a tap? Since we know nothing of the physics of ghosts, or even that ghosts exist, no one can give you a definitive answer to that question. But if a ghost had that ability, it would necessarily have all sorts of special properties.

  11. ok.... i guess i sorta believe your story but i know for sure that ghosts are NOT real!!!!

Do u guys practice any sort of witch craft or satanic thing??

that might explain some of it!!!

  12. According to, ironically, T.A.P.S., lol, taps do not turn on and off by themselves. It happened to them in one of their investigations. They are plumbers too and it was all they could talk about in one episode. How the tap came on, but no one turned it on. I know toilets can surge and taps can leak, but full blast? No. Good luck!

  13. certain kinds of sinks/ taps/ faucets can become damaged and turn on on thier own. Before you dive into the paranormal stuff ask a plumber.

  14. yeah they could.FREAKY

  15. O_o oOoOo spoOoky!

  16. It is most likely the plumbing in the older house.  But if it was a paranormal experience, just remember it will not do you any harm.

  17. the ghost was thirsty silly!

  18. I've never had this happen to me...but stuff has happened. What happened to you sounds like the movies"Ghost" with Patrick Swayzee. Maybe it was your grampa playing with your grandma...or was he still alive?Maybe some other relative. Or maybe you have magic faucets...which I think the skeptics would be more likely to believe. I can't understand how faucets could do that on their own.Did she ever have a plumber look at it?

  19. Yes they can.  Maybe your grama upset the ghost!

  20. I believe so. I left my digital recorder on one day and left for about four hours. It recorded the dogs barking and growling for 45 minutes of that recording, but in the background you could hear what appeared to sound like the faucets turnng on and off. The house was locked, no body was here, and there was nothing else to explain the noise.

  21. could have used him at the last kegger i had

  22. Can a ghost turn a tap?  I don't know how they could, considering they are not physical beings with any mass.  Why would a ghost want to turn a tap anyway?  It sounds like you have plumbing problems, not ghost problems.

  23. i think it was a ghost but its hard to tell.I think the ghost hates taps because the ghost probaly feels like it will be found.I really dont think you should hate taps.Taps are really cool dont say that!!!!!!!

  24. Yeah I think they can. It happened on the A Haunting show on the Discovery channel.

  25. Yea, ghosts can do that.

  26. some taps turn on from water pressure

  27. try to get your house inspected by a proffessional engineer person, but if everything ifs fine then you can freak out or try to help the situation with those connecter spirit people if there is such a thing

  28. Its amazing what we create

  29. Someone or something repeatedly turned on a lamp in my bedroom for several months, then stopped.  The lamp was turned on by a small k**b that had to be turned clockwise. All I had to to do was think about the lamp coming on and it would come on. But often it came on in the middle of the night and this would wake me up out of a deep sleep. The lamp sat--and still does--on a desk on the opposite side of the room from my bed. The lamp had belonged to my mother and I inherited it when she passed away.

  30. Yes, our bathroom tap turns on and off sometimes and its really scary. Spirits want to be noticed I believe so they can do anything to be noticed. Try setting a recording in the kitchen and see if you pick up any EVP's. Good Luck!

  31. yes ghosts can do that it probably just wanted attention
