well where i live no you have to tell your parents but there is an another thing you can use besides birth control, now just for the rec im not advocating s*x but im also a teen so i understand! but its called the morning after pill, where i live you can get it at any drug store, but the thing is you have to be at least 17 idk the rules for NJ but most def look into that its alot better then gettin b-control!

I live in Jersey, but I don't use birth control. A lot of my friends do, and they say that planned parenthood will happily give you birth control, so long as you can pay for it yourself, without using your parents' insurance, because by using your parents' insurance, the bill would be mailed to your house, and they might find it. I personally think that it is better though to be open and honest with your parents. If you have ligit reasons for wanting or needing birth control, then explain it to them, or whoever your guardian is. It would give them more of a reason to trust you, with you being honest and all. ♥

not 100% sure about in New Jersey but in most states the parents have to know because a minor cannot sign any paperwork or anything when you go to get examined and they have to examine you before putting you on the pill.. i would suggest using condoms every time..

im pretty sure you can i live in md and u can get it when ever you become active. just find a clinic near you and see. no matter what they will help u out. they rather u be on birth control than have a baby.
