Can a girl or guy who has cutting scars still be attractive?

I used to cut as a teen and I have scarred arms. I feel so disfgured and I feel people think I am messed up everytime they see my arms. I can see that I used to be attractive once, now I feel like a mutilated burn patient.

I am 31 and everytimeI see a teen posting a cutting question, I want to shake them and scream "Please Stop!, you don't know what this will do to your life in future.

Of course you can still be attractive just as long as its a thing of the past.

I know you want the kids to stop but some kids just need to learn for themselves.

My scars haven't ruined any relationship I've had.

When i feel like everyone knows, I just think, it was the past and it's no ones business if i don't decide to tell them.

yes of course! you are still a normal person, my mum has bad scarring on her face, but no one takes any notice because of who she is, people do not judge her on just that, unless it is some really horrible person.

and if someone does judge so much on that then they aren't even worth knowing.

the circumstances of your scars are difficult to talk about, but you don't need to divulge information with people you barely know anyway, so just be yourself and be confident in your own body.

if you are so self conscious about the scars, then moisturize them to make them less visible, or wear bracelets?

honestly, people don't see you as anything different to anyone else!

my step sister used to cut, she has a few scars on her arms, but she really doesn't let it get to her, but she mostly has the scars at the bottom of her stomach where no one could see, so when it came to intamacy she didn't know really what to do, but she knows now that people don't think it is a bad thing.
