Can a government check written to a husband and wife be deposited into an individual acccount?

Check is being deposited into a bank in texas. The check is from the government. (Stimulus Check). Both the husband and wife signed the back of the check.

Yes. As long as both partties have signed it can be cashed or deposited.

well i work for the bank and to answer ur question no! goverment checks has to go into a joint account if both names are on the check! or u both can go into the bank and c if they will let u cash it since she is with u! its a case by case thing, but cause its a goverment check with there new polciy than good luck trying
