Can a group of people such as a church ......?

sponsor someone to come to live in the US and how do we go about this. This is someone very close to me and someone whom I will be marrying also. Because of a new law in his country his field of employment will be pretty much obsolete and he is now considering coming here when up til now I was the one going there. I would really appreciate some helpful advice .

no,a group such as a church ,nor a pastor, cannot sponsor him.

unless it is a job offer, a stranger may not sponsor an individual to enter the US,

if you are an US citizen, you will have to apply from USCIS, within the US........

if you are outside the US? the procedure is a bit different...

No. After you get married, if you can afford it you can apply for him. Or you can apply first and marry him when he comes here.

If you attend church, ask your Pastor.  If you don't, why would you look for help from one?
