i do not have a guinea pig but i no it can eat chive stalks

DO NOT feed your guinea pigs avocado it is POISONOUS.  VERY much so.

And guinea pigs should be able to eat chive stalks, but I would highly suggest feeding them something higher in vitamin C.  Their food loses vitamin C while it sits and guinea pigs can develop scurvy if not fed enough vitamin C
