  1. They are a lot alike, so I'd say yes. My 2 pigs got along with my aunt's bunny.

But, be cautious. Guinea pigs can get a kind of bacteria or something from bunnies, and it can make them sick. That's all.  (As long as the guinea pigs or bunnies don't act overly agressive, which they usually don't, they'll be fine)

  2. It is advisable not to put rabbits and guinea-pigs together. In a lot of pet stores your are not allowed to sell rabbits and Guinea-pigs together.

We have a male guinea-pig and a female rabbit (spayed). Guinea-pigs and rabbits can not mate. Also take into account that rabbits have strong back legs and will sometimes kick, perhaps injuring a guinea-pig. My guinea-pig tried mating with my rabbit and she got annoyed and turned on him, we now keep them in separate cages.

  3. yes

  4. i don't think so... they need there own space!

  5. It's not a good idea.  I tried this once when I had both a rabbit and guinea pig.  They seemed to like one another, but the rabbit quickly figured out that when the guinea squeaked they both got more attention. This led the rabbit to biting the guinea so that she would keep squeaking. We had to separate them from living together and allow them to be together only during 'supervised visits' when both were watched and receiving lots of individual attention.

  6. yes u can in tthe pet shop at lee

i saw to black female rabbits with 3 female guinie pigs

but u can only have females with them no males

they will mate and have loads and loads of  guinierabbs

i no u never heard of that one before

but my mum used to breed them together rabbits and guine pigs

    they were so cute!!!!!

  7. yes you can put a guinea pig in a rabbit cage

  8. Not a good idea. A lot of pet shop owners don't know enough about the animals they sell. Even if the rabbit and the cavy are getting along fine and seem to be friends, this can still be dangerous to the cavy. Rabbits, even dwarf rabbits, have very strong hind legs. They can accidentally kick out at one of the cavies. A cavy (guinea pig) have very fragile bones. They can be easily injured.

  9. Keep them seperate at first but let them mingle together for a few days.  If they get use to eachother then you can have them live together - just keep a really close eye on them for a while.  Wake up during the night to check on them too when they're most active.  Also, rabbits and guinea pigs cannot breed so the first answer is incorrect.

  10. Petstores are stupid. They are their to sell stuff to you,not to give you good advice. Never listen to a pet store, especially if they are making a profit off of what they say. Example is vitamin c drops for guinea pigs. Petstores try to sell you them and most people buy them because they dont know any better.

Keep them seperate. If you have a rabbit, adopt a rabbit to be friends with your current rabbit.

Guinea pigs are herd animals and dont like to cuddle and do stuff with eachother. It is a herd mentality.

Rabbits settle down with a rabbit for a family. They cuddle, clean eachother, take care of eachother, etc. it is a completely different relationship.

Rabbits have very strong back legs that can kill a guinea pig whether accidentally or intentionally.

They have different nutritional needs. Vitamin c being the most common. Rabbits do not need it, guinea pigs have to have it.

    Diseases are another concern.

Please reconsider housing guinea pigs and rabbits together.

    And no wire bottom cages.

  11. No

They may get along, but rabbits have powerful back legs and can kill the guinea pigs if they end up fighting.

Unless you have a very big run and can separate an are which the Guinea pigs can enter but the rabbit can't it's not worth the risk, and even if you have the space I would recommend you still don't.

  12. It is never a good idea to mix rodent species.

Rabbits are carriers of bordetella, which can be fatal if contracted by your piggies.

Rabbits are very territorial. They also have a tendency to hog food, so the rabbit gets plenty & the piggies end up malnourished. Some rabbit pellets contain antibiotics that are harmful to piggies, so you wouldn't want your piggies eating them.

Even in play, a rabbit's back legs are very powerful. One kick can maim or kill a piggie.

Its just best to keep them separate.

  13. hello,

i would not recommend putting them together. This is because they could kill eachother. since they are not the same kind of animal they wont get along and will fight. Also,  the different f***s will make the cage smell and could lead to the animals getting sick. So please take my advise and be a good pet owner and do not put these two animals together in one cage.

    Hope I Could Help
