Okay my friend and I are having a debate on how the world could end in 2012. Frankly I don't think the world will end, but she said one of her teachers said that a gyser in YellowStone National Park will blow up and will destroy the US or N. America, or just a state?

  1. E-vangel, volcanoes can affect the entire planet, anyways gysers could not build up enough force before the ground above it gave way, no natural substance could hold back a gyser long enough for that kind of pressure to build up.

  2. wat

  3. Your friend is pulling your leg, unless it was her daycare teacher.

  4. Not even close.  Volcanoes are more powerful than any known geysers and they can't even effect a whole state.

  5. the pressure in a gyser could generate enough force, but would rupture the earth and vent before it became that powerful.  so, theoretically it could cause widespread distruction if it could be contained long enough to build pressure, but that's highly unlikely.

  6. ............. No... honestley. theyre not that big
