Can a hacker see your computer screen?

i got some guys in my computer class in high school and they said they've seen me logging on/off my myspace accounts and i don't know if a hacker can see your computer screen or not, is it true that they can see?

yes, they can run a screen scaper that will capture the screen and save it or send it to them - additionally they can use utilities to log your keystrokes, as well.  I say report them.

It all depends to what degree of hacking these individuals stoop to.  There are varying degrees of hacking that are aimed at specific things that more often than not involve the acquisition of data.  

If they are high-tech enough they can watch your every move on a computer whether you have security or not.  With the right security you can prevent the amateurs, but if they are seasoned veterans your only rapture is to seek professional help.  Very seldom will someone waste valuable and expensive resources on trying to pry if they do not suspect that you hold some very important information.  In the end it is all about watching your own back.  Make sure to keep an eye on those that are suspicious and make sure that you stay as secure as possible.  Every site you go to logs your IP address and hackers know how to access that data.  Play it smart and you will be fine.

It is true can someone can do that but I doubt that the guys in your class have the knowledge to do it. Probably are just trying to impress you but are not doing so. If you have an "online" notification on your myspace page they may be seeing when you go online but as far as hacking into your system they aren't, especially if youre running a firewall.
