Can a hamster get pregnant right after giving birth to pups?

my hamster had pups about 14 or so days ago iand i think she might be pregnant so i need to know....thx!

  1. They certainly can, We learned that the hard way in an animal class I took, the mouse we had got pregnant while she was still taking care of her babies

    But the father shouldn't even be in there anyway- once the babies are born, or even way before it, the male should be removed because he may attack/eat the babies, or cause the mother to attack/eat the babies.

    This is why the male should always be separated from the female before she gives birth.

    Immediate pregnancy after birth is also dangerous for hamsters.

    Well, just make sure you remove the male this time before she gives birth...but it is going to be very difficult to raise 2 litters at once.
