1. Why does Halo 3 online playing lags while playing on that TV?

2. 3 players playing together on this TV lags badly. Is the TV having to process too much? (on a different TV, 42" HD TV, does not lag as badly) It plays better when there are only 2 players playing together on this TV.

3. The video is being put through an Onkyo receiver. Is it possible that the video lag is caused by the receiver?

Things to consider: TV is Samsung and we tried using the hard internet connection instead of using the wireless.

  1. All HDTVs buffer their video and produce video lag. This is necessary because of the way digital channels compress their video signals via MPEG. To reduce video lag, YOU MUST PURCHASE a TV with a GAMING MODE. These gaming modes are specifically designed to reduce the video buffering and, therefore, reduce the video lag. Check to see if your Samsung 52" can be configured for gaming mode on the port you are gaming from. If not, there is little that you can do except to replace the TV with one that supports a gaming mode. Good luck!
