Can a high level of chlorine damage a pool system? if so how can you fix it?

Yes...Not only is it an irritant to you and others, too much can deteriorate the liner.  Inground pools also.  You need to check the levels and get the proper chemicals to lower it.  Your pool supply place can help.

i am a pool company owner and no, high chlorine levels in a in ground pool will not hurt it.in a above ground pool it will make the liner brittle and it will crack. it will make your skin very dry to get it out there is no chemical to do this . the sun has to bake it out eleven years experince
