Can a hiptop slide be used on a prepaid simcard?

when u get the phone isnt it only for telestra plan sim carrds. so u cant use prepaid. but if u have a hiptop and it works on prepaid let me kno :)

i have one & thats what i was thinking

they said that at the end of the contract that you can go onto pre-paid but i have no idea how the internet works
