Can a house fly, fly against the wind?

  1. A house fly can fly against the wind if the wind is mild. The faster the wind blows, the more the        dynamic pressure increases, which gives the fly higher drag. The fly can only generate a certain amount of thrust by using it's wings, so when the drag gets equal to/ or greater than the thrust , the fly stands still or falls back.
