Can a human outrun a bear?

What you don't realize, is that bears don't necessarily behave like a non-stop vehicle. They don't just catch a person by running in a straight line over it as a car would. If you stop, they will stop. If you move, they will move. The stalk their prey first and circle it. Then they go in for the kill. Plus their vision isn't very good and are guided mostly by smell. They can't see you very well. These little pauses give you some time to manoeuvre.  In a way, being as fast as Usain Bolt might be worse because the faster a person runs, the bear will also try and will likely match that speed. They will go as fast as they have to like something chasing after its target. Instead, a person has to outsmart, outfox it. Stopping and starting like a hockey player or a wide receiver in football rather than a sprinter may be the better approach.

I think its never possible unless you are the most luckiest person living in the world. the reason being this that bear is very huge in size, has got very strong arms and also very quick so these things make it almost impossible for a man to outrun a bear.
if you had any weapon along with you then whole scenario will be difficult.

...Yes it is possible to outrun a bear, because I've done it. In fact, I may be the only written documented case with an official eyewitness, police report and later published in reputable news journals/reporting services. I outran the bear over a stretch no less than 100 yards, possibly much longer. I don't know what my clock speed was as I was fighting for my life. As for my musculoskeletal system, I pulled several ligaments in my leg in the process according to the doctor who treated me. The bear itself may have weighed between 350-400 lbs. and was very large, an adult. So it is possible, but you have to be extremely lucky.

In case anyone wants to try this out for kicks, I don't recommend it. Because you may not live to tell your tale. Please don't attempt it as animals in the Wild are extremely dangerous.
