  1. in order to qualifiy for British citizenship ? you must live in the UK

  2. I am not a lawyer but I can give you an answer.

    Unless you have a claim to Citizenship based on ancestry you will probably have to apply for naturalization in one of the following two categories:

    Naturalization after five years in the UK.

    Naturalization after three years in the UK as a spouse of an UK Citizen.

    When you finally become a UK citizen, then you may apply for a passport.**

  3. Even if you are married to a British National, you need to live in Britain for five years before you can apply for citizenship which then entitles you to a British passport.  If you are not married to a British National, you have no chance.

  4. basically its everything they said above, but also there is a law that if you are studying in england for 10 years you can apply for citizenship
