  1. You want to be directed to a website that answers questions?  I believe you found it.....Yahoo Answers

  2. The insurer cannot cancel your policy because you made a claim unless the claim was fraudulent or during the investigation of the claim they discovered something that wasn't disclosed when the application was made, then they can void the policy for material misrepresentation.

If this was not the case (i.e. claim was legitimate and all facts disclosed) then the insurer can choose to not renew the policy. Either party in the insurance contract always has the option not to renew the policy.

  3. its its in the fine print you over looked. yes. pull up there web site or ask them to mail you info where it says that.

  4. An insurance policy is a legal contract between you and your insurance company. If you read the contract you will find that it allows either party to cancel the contract.

You can cancel the policy if you find another company with better terms or a better price. Conversely, the insurance company can with proper notice choose to cancel or non renew the policy.

Think about it, when you bought the insurance did you think that the company was obligated to you for the rest of your life? Even marriage contracts have provisions for divorce.
