If so, are there power or weight requirements, or can they all do the job?

  1. I've done it before, but the driver has to be very experienced.  It's diffucult to keep a constant speed on a jet ski throttle.

  2. It's real tough. The skiier and the jetski operator have to be very experienced. Not much margin for error and it's very difficult for the skiier to get out of the water..

  3. It actually depends on the engine size and how much rear torque the ski has.  If you have a ski with at least a 70 hp engine, then yes, it is powerful enough to pull a skier or tuber.

  4. as long as the jet ski is powerful enough. so, no not all of them can do it. I have done it a few times, its fun!! u just gotta be careful, watch for other boaters and jetskiers.

  5. Not sure...but I have been tubing behind one before.

  6. it could but it would be very hard for the water skiier and it would not be very good for the jetski

  7. Yes, a jetski can pull a skier, but by law it must be a three seater.  You need a driver, a spotter/flag holder, and room to recover the skier.  Personally, I recomend at least an 1100 to pull up a 150-200 lb skier.  Changing to a lower pitched impeller helps with the hole shot, and I like aftermarket sponsons on the rear, so that if the skier cuts the jet ski tracks straight.  Hope this helps.

  8. I think it will only work with kids and maybe people who weigh under 100 pounds. Once you get going youll be fine no matter what the wieght but pulling the person out of the water is the problem.... guess you could do a beach start

  9. Yes. Jetski's can be faster than a speed boat. But don't have as much power. Which is very usful when you are slalom skiing, so it can get you out of the water. But it will work.
