  1. No, it can only jump one piece at a time.

  2. Sure you can! think of it this way: If your knight is standing next to two pawns so that they stand in a row of three, you can jump the two and go to the next available spot, that is, if it's in the L-shape that knights move.

In other words, yes, it's possible, but probably rare...

  3. Yes. Remember that a knight moves in a L: 2 up/down and 1 left/right. So it only attacks the place that it will move to. That's why it is impossible to block a knight to make a check!

(If you meant, jumping like in checkers, then NO WAY!)

  4. NO! It makes an "L" shape

so what ever space it lands on is the piece thats 'jumped'

    hope i helped.................sorry if i didnt

  5. yes they can 1 turn and 2 or 2 turn and 1 like an L any direction.

  6. No. Nothing can jump more than one piece at a time. A knight moves either two up and one over or one up and two over.Hope that helps.

  7. Knights move in an L shape...Over other pieces..

  8. It only kills the guy it lands on.

  9. No because it kills the piece it lands on

  10. From the answers you have received I can see that people are not totally clear about what you are asking.

The knight is the only piece in chess that can "jump over" other pieces.  The Knight can hop over any piece on its path. The diagram at this first link shows the Knight with eight possible moves even though it is surrounded by pieces.  So it can jump over any pieces in its path to get to the correct spot, and then capture the opponent's piece that happens to be on that spot.  The knight does not capture the pieces it jumps over.

    I hope this helps.

  11. Wow, These guys are slow.

    This is chess not checkers.

If there is more than one piece between you and your final stop, yes you can very much do that.

But you can not capture more than one piece at a time.

  12. Yes you can. If your piece is not in the spot it will end up. It can jump all pieces in the L shape.

  13. no
