  1. no it cannot. the bolts do not line up correctly

  2. Yes,,it's "the same engine" basically

    You need to use kx100

    *Cylinder,,,

    --gasket is same

    *Cylinder head

---Head Gasket has larger bore,so use 100 Head Gskt

    *100 Exhaust Powervalve  parts

    * 100 Piston,Rings,Pin

100 carb is the same as 80,,,but jetted differently

Pipe's the same---any 80 or 100 pipe will work on any 80 or 100,,they're the same

Reeds are the same,,,of you happen to have trick, upgraded reeds in your 80,,You can use them in a 100

Rear Sprocket on 100 is 3 teeth smaller than 80

    .........................................

    Really,,a KX 100 is just a big bore kit on a 80

The "Conversion" is nothing hard,,,no extra work,no trick to it.

Same as doing a plain 'ol top end overhaul.

    Everything bolts on.

But You MUST use the 100 Exhaust Valve parts,,,

and MUST use a 100 Head & Gasket,,

and MUST re-jet carb to 100 specs

    Hope that helps,,,have fun
